Scott is conveniently located in Annapolis, Maryland, providing in-person lessons to residents in communities including Annapolis, Arnold, Severna Park, Kent Island, Edgewater, Pasadena, and more. Scott also offers virtual lessons for students anywhere in the country, providing premium instruction in the comfort of your home.

Virtual lessons offer the same great experience in the convenience of your own home. No more rushing to the studio, getting stuck in traffic, or missing valuable lesson time. Virtual lessons save you time, energy, and gas while allowing you to learn in the comfort of your home on your instrument.

Lessons that are Flexible, Convenient, and on Your Terms

  • 30-minute lessons: $170 / month

    45-minute lessons: $250 / month

    60-minute lessons (or two students/30 minute lessons): $330 / month

    44 lessons within a 52-week year

    Payment is due the first day of each month.

    Students will have opportunities to perform recitals and participate in repertoire classes and masterclasses throughout the year, schedule TBA.

  • To ensure a flexible schedule, tuition is calculated based on a 44-week lesson year with the same monthly payment over 11 months of the year (see monthly rate above). Students will complete 44 lessons over 12 months.

    Some months a student may have five lessons. There also may be months where a student has three lessons due to a student or instructor cancellation or a holiday. This flexible model keeps the monthly payment predictable, allows the student to take off without financial penalty, and avoids the need for make-up lessons.

  • Students are expected to attend lessons weekly and on time. Please provide 24-hour notice if you need to miss a lesson, unless there is an emergency. Students who are unable to attend a lesson in-person may request a virtual lesson.

    Students are responsible for purchasing and bringing all music books and materials to their weekly lessons.

    Holidays: The studio is closed on major holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, December 23 – January 1, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, and July 4.

    Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather, in-person students are encouraged to take advantage of virtual lessons.

    Instructor Cancellations: The instructor will make every effort to notify students of cancelled lessons at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Payments are due on the first day of every month via electronic invoices (sent by the 20th of the previous month).

    If a payment processing problem is not resolved within seven days of the payment due date, a $15 late fee will be assessed.

    Accepted payment methods: Zelle, PayPal, Venmo or personal check

  • At least one month’s notice is required via email to scottwinterstudio@gmail.com if a student wishes to pause or stop lessons. Lesson payments will be collected through the end of the next calendar month.
